***RFI response*** No tasks involve traditional food preparation or cooking. Chili, Hotdogs, Sausage, Burgers, Nachos. Meats & toppings are precooked. Equipment used is grill and commercial sauce warmers to bring food items to serving temperature. Cheese Sauce & Chile are canned. Bread items (tortillas, tortilla chips, buns, rolls, Texas Toast) are wrapped in plastic. Some toppings such as tomato, onion, lettuce are raw, and are only sliced or broken apart using cutting board and knife, or hands, but are not cooked, they are placed into small plastic bags and placed onto a kiosk for patrons to add after product is served to them. Condiments such as pickles, mustard, mayo, pickled jalapenos, come in either cans, jars, or squeeze bottles and are put on a kiosk for patrons to add after product is served to them. Worker would: • Open can of cheese with can opener and pour it into warmer. • Open can of chili with can opener and pour it into warmer. • Pour oil onto grill. • Open plastic bags of meat items with hands or scissors and place on grill in the oil using tongs. • Open plastic bags of toppings with hands or scissors and pour from bag onto grill into the oil. • Open plastic bags of bread items with hands or scissors, and either: o Butter the bread items with butter and butter knife and place on grill to toast. o Place on grill dry to heat or toast. • Assemble the above-mentioned ingredients to prepare the item ordered by patron, ie: o Nachos may have Tortilla Chips & Cheese, with a variety of the other toppings. o Hot Dogs on a Toasted bun, may have no toppings, be topped with cheese and/or chile or other ingredients. o Hamburger on a toasted bun, may have no toppings, be topped with other ingredients. • Place the prepared items on the counter for Patron. Food Item: Pizza Slices: Pizza comes prepared and precooked, with various types of toppings. Worker would: • Select proper pizza slice from stock. • Using tongs, place slice onto conveyor oven. When the pizza slice has been heated, it slides out of the other side of the conveyor oven. • Using spatula, pick up heated pizza slice, place in serving plate, and place on counter for patron to retrieve. Food Item: popcorn: Equipment used is commercial popcorn popper. Worker would: • Scoop popcorn butter & flavoring into popper basket. • Scoop popcorn into popper basket. • When popcorn is finished popping, basket is tipped and popcorn falls into serving section. • Sprinkle salt and flavoring on top of popped popcorn, using metal scoop, to mix popcorn, salt and flavoring. • Using same scoop, scoop up popcorn and place in serving box. • Place box on counter for patron to pick up. ***Original*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival, assembling, disassembling & operating equipment (amusement rides, game and/or food concessions) May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; direct patrons to rides, seats or attractions; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; provide assistance to patrons entering or exiting amusement rides; clean rides, booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts; fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
