- Offer description:
***RFI response*** The plows referenced are Snowrators, which are compact, stand-on units equipped with a plow attachment. They are purpose-built for pedestrian surfaces such as sidewalks, walkways, and small parking lots, and are standard for winter grounds maintenance. A Snowrator is not a highway-rated item. It is not licensed or equipped for operation on public roadways, does not carry the size, speed, or safety features required for road use, and is never used to plow streets or highways. The workers who operate this equipment perform sidewalk and parking-lot snow clearing in winter with no highway or road maintenance responsibilities at any point. ***Original*** Employees will keep the outside of both private commercial buildings (office buildings, retail centers, etc.) and residential buildings in clean and orderly condition by removing snow from sidewalks, driveways, yards, or parking areas, using snow shovels, snow plows, snow blowers, leaf blowers, rakes, ice chippers, and spread salt/other snow-melting chemicals; gather and empty trash and debris by hand or with a trash picker; fall/winter storm cleanup including clearing debris from grounds; and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. Clean and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools when not in use.
