***RFI Response*** Properly fills stuffing material into outer shell (toy skin piece) through the existing filling hole. There are two types of stuffing material: Peanuts and Polyester. This position is carried out by sitting at a stationary chair in front of the stuffing machine. Inspects and closes toy at filling hole area. Properly carries out basic quality checks. Prepares shipping cartons Bags are twisted manually and held against the lever of the Twist Tyer machine to close the bag. Properly packs items and label cartons and or bags and make ready for customer orders. Properly places packed boxes with items down the roller extension to the automatic taper machine that does not require hands-on operation. The worker does not operate the conveyor belt system. The conveyor transports plush toys between workstations, and the worker only receives products from the conveyor at designated stations. The Stuffer position operates a stuffing machine used to insert filling material (peanuts or polyester stuffing) into plush toy outer shells. Bags are twisted manually and held against the lever of the Twist Tyer machine to close the bag. The worker places packed boxes onto a roller extension that feeds into an automatic taper machine. The taper machine operates automatically and does not require worker operation. The worker prepares shipping cartons by assembling and staging cartons for completed customer orders. The worker manually places inspected plush toys into cartons or bags, applies appropriate labels, and prepares orders for shipment. The worker operates the Twist Tyer machine by holding the twisted bag against the machine lever to secure the bag closure. The automatic taper machine tapes cartons automatically and does not require worker operation. Packaging activities are performed manually. Performs visual quality inspections to ensure plush toys meet production standards. Verifies the toy is properly stuffed, closed, clean, and free of visible defects. Sorts and organizes finished products for packing. Assembles shipping cartons and packaging materials. Packs finished plush toys into cartons or bags. Properly places packed boxes with items down the roller extension to the automatic taper machine that does not require hands-on operation. Applies labels to cartons and/or bags. Prepares packed products for shipment to customers. ***Original F.a.2*** Work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling and packaging stuffed toys and novelties. Team assemblers may properly fill stuffing material into outer shell (toy skin piece) through the existing filling hole; and/or receiving filled plush toy as it is sent down a conveyor belt assembly line system, inspecting and closing the toy at filling hole area; and/or receive, inspect, prepare shipping cartons, pack items and label cartons and/or bags make ready for customer orders. May work as a team leader, may during quality check make a decision to send a defective product back for refilling. Maintain personal work area clean and clear of any hazards, notify supervisor of any hazards, may be required to operate power tools or equipment on the production line.
