- Offer description:
Perform general labor and winter worksite upkeep at active construction sites during seasonal cold-weather conditions. Duties include clearing snow and ice from walkways, access routes, work areas, staging areas, material storage areas, and equipment paths to maintain safe and accessible job sites. Workers will apply salt, sand, and de-icing materials; remove winter debris; maintain clear access routes; assist with organizing work areas; and support basic site cleanup and material handling during winter conditions. Workers will also assist with general labor tasks necessary to support ongoing construction operations during the winter season, including loading and unloading materials, moving and staging supplies, removing non-hazardous debris, organizing tools and materials, and maintaining clean and safe work areas. Workers may assist skilled trades by carrying, moving, positioning, staging, and holding materials, tools, and supplies while skilled workers perform their assigned tasks. Workers may also transport tools and equipment throughout the job site, unload and distribute deliveries, and perform cleanup activities before, during, and after construction operations. All duties are performed under supervision and are labor-related in nature. Workers will not perform skilled trade work and will not be required to have specialized training, certification, or licensing. Tools and equipment used may include snow shovels, ice chippers, snow blowers, brooms, rakes, wheelbarrows, hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, utility knives, pry bars, hammers, drills, and other basic hand and power tools used for site maintenance, cleanup, snow and ice removal, and material handling. Materials handled may include snow, ice, salt, sand, de-icing products, construction supplies, pallets, tools, equipment, and non-hazardous debris. The tools and equipment used are basic tools commonly used for site maintenance, cleanup, snow removal, and material handling and do not require any special license or certification to operate.
