- Offer description:
***RFI response*** For context, I note that my spouse and I utilize a house cleaning service every 3-4 weeks, and it is independently scheduled and managed by my spouse, who coordinates the appointments, determines the scope of work, and is responsible for payment. However, occasionally Meghan and I are out of the house when the cleaning service arrives at the house to perform their duties. If this happens when the nanny is in our employ, the nanny would let the cleaning service into our home. The nanny does not otherwise direct the cleaning service, and the nanny has no role in hiring, firing, or compensating the cleaners. ***Original*** As a Nanny, you will provide loving and attentive care to children, fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports their growth and development. Your responsibilities will encompass childcare, organization, and household tasks. Childcare Duties • Provide attentive, compassionate care for our child(ren), ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. • Create and maintain a consistent daily routine, including meals, naps, and activities. • Assist with educational development. • Engage children in creative, age-appropriate activities, such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and reading. • Arrange and supervise playdates, outings, or after-school activities. • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for the children. • Help with dressing, grooming, and hygiene, including bath time and potty training if applicable. • Monitor the children’s health, administering medication if authorized and notifying parents of any concerns. Household Support (Child-Related) • Maintain cleanliness and organization of children’s spaces, including bedrooms, playrooms, and common areas. • Organize and tidy up toys, books, and other belongings after use. • Handle laundry for the children, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing and linens. • Restock and manage supplies for children (diapers, formula, snacks, school materials, etc.). Scheduling and Coordination • Manage daily schedules for school drop-offs/pickups, extracurricular activities, and appointments. • Maintain an updated family calendar for children’s activities and events. • Coordinate with parents on childcare plans, ensuring alignment with family preferences and routines. Travel and Event Assistance • Prepare and pack for family trips or children’s travel needs. • Accompany the family on vacations if requested, providing consistent care. • Assist with planning and managing children’s parties, playdates, or special events. Safety and Well-Being • Ensure a safe and secure environment by following household rules and child safety protocols. • Monitor and respond to children’s needs, resolving conflicts or issues calmly and effectively. Household Organization • Coordinate regular cleaning schedules, either personally or by managing cleaning staff. • Handle children’s laundry and wardrobe management, ensuring clothing and linens are clean, pressed, and stored properly. Household Inventory Management • Monitor inventory of essential supplies for children (groceries, cleaning products, etc.) and replenish as needed. • Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary groceries and supplies for children.
