**RFI Response** The phrase "perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed" refers to periodic cleaning tasks that go beyond routine daily housekeeping and are performed to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and the overall appearance of the property. These tasks include, but are not limited to: • Shampooing and extracting carpets using commercial carpet shampooers and carpet extractors. • Stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing hard-surface floors using floor stripping machines, buffers, burnishers, mops, and approved floor-finishing products. • Steam cleaning upholstered furniture, curtains, and fabric surfaces using commercial steam cleaners or upholstery extractors. • Washing interior and exterior windows, window tracks, blinds, and screens using squeegees, extension poles, microfiber cloths, and glass-cleaning solutions. • Cleaning baseboards, walls, doors, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, and ceiling fans using microfiber dusters, extension dusters, ladders, cloths, and approved cleaning solutions. • Moving lightweight furniture to clean underneath and behind beds, dressers, sofas, tables, and other furnishings using standard housekeeping techniques. • Deep cleaning kitchens and bathrooms by removing soap scum, mineral deposits, grease, and accumulated grime from sinks, countertops, cabinets, appliances, showers, tubs, toilets, grout, and tile surfaces using brushes, scrub pads, non-abrasive scrapers, disinfectants, degreasers, descaling agents, and other approved cleaning chemicals. • Vacuuming and cleaning air vents and other accessible surfaces using commercial vacuum cleaners equipped with hose and brush attachments. • Sanitizing high-touch surfaces, including door handles, light switches, remote controls, telephones, and other fixtures using EPA-approved disinfectants and microfiber cloths. These deep cleaning duties are performed using standard commercial housekeeping equipment and techniques commonly employed in the hospitality industry, including vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, polishing, shampooing, steam cleaning, disinfecting, stripping and waxing floors, and extracting carpets. Employees use commercially available housekeeping equipment and cleaning products provided by the employer while following established safety procedures and manufacturer instructions. **Original** Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming, change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed; perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed; stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis; dispose of trash and recyclables; respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner; maintain cleanliness of rooms, hallways, and other areas of the hotel; identify and report preventative maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. 35 hours per week minimum. Work schedule can vary and can include evening and weekend hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Work hours and shifts vary.
