Four (4) temporary full-time Tree Climber positions are available for work beginning October 1, 2026 and continuing through April 30, 2027, working day shift with forty hours work provided weekly - Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm, at $24.49 or higher per hour, with overtime offered often at $36.74 or higher per hour. Tree Climbers perform tree climbing and rigging, pruning and trimming, cutting away excess branches from trees or shrubs; also lowering of limbs and branches. Tree Climbers treat and care for trees by using handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. Tree Climbers often work off the ground near tree canopy or in truck-mounted lifts. Tree Climbers are called to follow all safety regulations per industry and municipality and company, including safe usage of employer-provided personal protective equipment. Tree Climbers are caring for the health, value, appearance, and productivity of area trees and shrubs. This occupation requires a high-school diploma and six months related work experience in ground work or tree species. One month of paid on-the-job training gets any hires up to speed so they can identify tree species and climbing risks, and also safely use power and hand tools and lifts.
