***RFI response*** Employees lift and position wood cants, pallet lumber, and wooden pallets onto production equipment including handsaws, end trim machines, and pallet dismantler machines. Employees feed wood cants into handsaws and end trim machines that cut the cants into pallet boards and stringers used in pallet production. Employees remove, sort, and stack pallet lumber components produced by the machines. Employees also lift damaged pallets onto pallet dismantler machines that cut nails and separate pallet components. Employees sort and stack reusable lumber components and dispose of unusable materials. Materials handled include wood cants, pallet lumber, pallet components, and wooden pallets. Equipment utilized includes handsaws, end trim machines, and pallet dismantler machines. ***Original*** Material Handlers to perform duties in the production of pallets. The following is a list of essential functions: 1. Performs Lifting, machine feeding, and stacking of pallet lumber components. 2. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. 3. Assembles pallet lumber components utilizing a nail gun. 4. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 5. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: Able to lift 50 lbs, able to work standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day, able and willing to work in an outdoor environment. 6. Must be able to bend and lift for 8+ hours a day. The position requires an emphasis on quality and safety. LETEM Recycling is a very fast-paced operation and we pride ourselves on our clean and safe environment. Two work shifts available: 6:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00 to 10:00pm.
