***RFI Response*** The position performs general property upkeep and maintenance for residential, commercial, and active construction properties during the winter season. Duties include snow and ice removal from walkways, driveways, parking areas, building entrances, access paths, and other areas requiring safe pedestrian or vehicle access. Specific snow and ice removal tasks include shoveling snow; clearing snow from sidewalks, walkways, stairs, ramps, driveways, parking areas, building entrances, temporary access routes, and work areas; removing accumulated ice; and applying salt, sand, ice melt, and other de-icing materials to reduce slippery conditions and maintain safe access. Snow removal duties are performed manually and with basic snow-removal equipment to maintain safe pedestrian and vehicle access during winter weather conditions. Workers monitor properties and active construction sites for snow accumulation, ice buildup, and other winter-related hazards and report unsafe conditions to supervisors. Workers may assist in maintaining safe access to construction staging areas, material storage areas, jobsite entrances, and common work areas during winter weather conditions. Workers use hand tools and basic equipment including snow shovels, snow pushers, ice scrapers, brooms, spreaders, wheelbarrows, and walk-behind snow blowers. Workers may use walk-behind snow blowers to clear accumulated snow from sidewalks, walkways, entrances, driveways, parking areas, and other accessible areas. Materials used may include rock salt, sand, ice melt products, and other de-icing materials. Additional duties include cleaning common areas, removing debris, performing basic property upkeep, and assisting with winterization activities to help protect property, equipment, materials, and jobsite areas from cold-weather conditions. Workers report maintenance issues to supervisors. The position does not include skilled repair work such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or skilled construction trades work. Workers follow all safety procedures and respond to routine maintenance needs as directed. Work is performed primarily outdoors in cold weather conditions. ***Original F.a.2*** Perform general property upkeep and maintenance for residential and/or commercial properties during the winter season.
