***RFI response*** The worker will be employed by an off-premise catering company that prepares and serves food for private events, such as, corporate functions, weddings, festivals, etc. Food is prepared in a commercial kitchen and transported to event locations where it is cooked, finished, and served from a mobile food truck and catering stations. Prior to events, the worker will assist with food preparation by washing, peeling, cutting, slicing, chopping, portioning, marinating, and assembling ingredients; preparing sandwiches, wraps, salads, tacos, burgers, grilled items, seafood, breakfast items, side dishes, and other quick-service menu items; stocking and organizing ingredients; labeling and storing food; and loading food, supplies, and equipment onto catering vehicles and food trucks. At catering events and on the food truck, the worker will prepare, cook, heat, grill, fry, sauté, assemble, garnish, and serve menu items according to established recipes and food safety standards. The worker will operate flat-top grills, griddles, fryers, ovens, steam tables, food warmers, microwaves, toasters, induction burners, and other standard commercial food-service equipment to cook and finish food orders. Duties include monitoring cooking times and temperatures, replenishing ingredients and supplies, maintaining food presentation standards, packaging orders, and coordinating with other kitchen and service staff to ensure timely food service. The worker will use knives, cutting boards, mixing bowls, measuring utensils, food pans, tongs, spatulas, ladles, thermometers, food storage containers, cleaning supplies, and other standard kitchen tools and materials. The worker will handle meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, fruits, breads, dairy products, sauces, seasonings, oils, and other food ingredients used in catering operations. Additional duties include maintaining clean and sanitary food preparation, cooking, and service areas; cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work surfaces; disposing of waste; receiving and storing supplies; and assisting with setup and breakdown of catering sites and food truck operations. ***Original*** WILL TRAIN TO PREPARE AND COOK ITEMS THAT REQUIRE ONLY A SHORT PREPARATION TIME. ALSO, PLATE AND GARNISH, AND STORE FOOD. PRACTICE SANITARY FOOD PROCEDURES. REQUIRED TO CLEAN WORK EQUIPMENT AND AREAS. TRAVEL TO DIFFERENT WORK SITES WILL BE PROVIDED BY EMPLOYER. SHIFT REQUIRED TO WORK IS: 2PM-10PM, 40 HOURS PER WEEK, 5 DAYS PER WEEK, WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. OVERTIME MAY BE AVAILABLE.
