- Offer description:
***RFI response*** Employer’s cash register uses a “Square” system with touch screen POS (Point of Sale) terminals both for the front and kitchen, along with self-order kiosks. If mobile catering or special events are scheduled, worker will be in charge of preparing, packing, and delivering food to customers, which does not mean actual delivery, only that he/she is responsible for making sure customers have their food in a timely manner. Packaging is crucial for quality and customer satisfaction, so workers will use leak-proof plastic bags, vented containers for fried foods (to prevent sogginess), insulated soup bowls or aluminum for hot items, separate hot/cold items, and include utensils/napkins in sealed pouches. Since delivery may expose food to longer transit times, delivery is generally by bicycle if within 2-3 miles (or 30 minutes). If farther away, an authorized worker will use the Subaru 5 passenger SUV, one of the Employer’s fully-insured vehicles. ***Original*** DUTIES: prepare necessary components of each dish on our menu using our proven recipes; utilize our serving portion sizes and all necessary meal prep procedures used in the kitchen; ensure the kitchen, all food prep areas, and all storage and eating areas meet local health codes and restaurant cleaning standards; work with a team of cooks to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed; monitor product freshness and rotate out the old product based on a planned schedule; set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies; chop, mix, saut, prepare sauces, and other food preparation; cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff; plate food in a professional and appetizing manner for the customer; clean up the station and take care of leftover food stock inventory; when necessary be available to work cashier and holidays, and if mobile catering or special events are scheduled, be in charge of preparing, packing, and delivering food to customers.
