Performing job duties related to pool opening/closing and maintenance care. Maintain private and public swimming pools, hot tubs and wading pools. Maintain proper chemical balance of pools along with storing of chemicals. Maintain an automated record of all activities and submit a report via email/text to the office after each pool visit. Transport various types of materials and equipment. Clean and service swimming pool filtration system. Use swimming pool vacuum cleaner to clean pool floors. Use telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any leaves or debris. Scrub pool floors and walls using brush. On the job training is provided. The worker transports, loads, unloads, stages, organizes, and moves materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and chemicals required for swimming pool opening, closing, winterization, winter care, and maintenance services at residential and commercial swimming pools, hot tubs, and wading pools. Duties include loading and securing equipment and supplies on company vehicles; transporting materials between company facilities and customer locations; unloading, staging, and organizing equipment at job sites; and returning equipment and unused materials to vehicles upon completion of services. Workers may use two-wheel dollies and similar material-handling equipment to move heavy items. Tools, equipment, and materials used include air blowers, air compressors, drain pumps, drain hoses, winter safety covers, cover installation and anchor tools, skimmer plugs, gizmos, chemical test kits, pool vacuum cleaners, telescopic poles, skimmer nets, pool brushes, hand drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, extension cords, external batteries, antifreeze, algaecide, chlorine products, dechlorine products, pH reducers, plaster protectants, and other pool maintenance chemicals and supplies. Workers operate company-owned pickup trucks, including Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, or similar vehicles, to transport employees, tools, equipment, chemicals, and supplies to customer locations. Vehicles have an approximate gross vehicle weight of 6,700 pounds. The worker services swimming pool filtration systems as part of pool opening, closing, winterization, winter care, and maintenance services. Duties include shutting down filtration systems; turning off and securing pumps, filters, heaters, chlorination equipment, and circulation systems; draining water from equipment and piping to prevent freeze damage; removing and reinstalling drain plugs; disconnecting, reconnecting, and inspecting system components; airblowing circulation lines; inspecting equipment and plumbing for proper winterization; checking for leaks, damage, freeze risks, and pipe bursts; cleaning equipment rooms; and preparing filtration systems for seasonal shutdown. Workers use air blowers, air compressors, drain pumps, drain hoses, hand drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, extension cords, chemical test kits, and other pool service tools. Winterization duties include lowering pool water levels 16–24 inches below the waterline using pumps and hoses; air-blowing suction, return, and water-feature lines; installing skimmer plugs and gizmos; installing, adjusting, and securing winter safety covers and anchors; applying winter treatment chemicals; removing debris using pool vacuums, skimmer nets, and telescopic poles; brushing pool surfaces; air-blowing pool decks; organizing equipment rooms; and monitoring equipment and plumbing systems to help prevent freeze damage. Workers maintain electronic service records and submit reports by email or text message after each pool visit.
