Workers will perform temporary, non-professional, support services in an automotive service and repair facility. Duties include assisting the Production Manager and licensed technicians with routine operational and maintenance activities necessary for daily shop operations. Workers will prepare work areas; clean and organize tools, equipment, and shop spaces; wash and prepare vehicles for service; transport parts and materials; load and unload supplies; and maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization. Workers will assist with surface preparation and finishing support tasks under supervision, including washing, masking, sanding, buffing, polishing, cleaning, and related preparation activities. Workers will clean and maintain work areas, shop facilities, and equipment, including cleaning spray equipment and maintaining paint booth cleanliness, as directed by supervisory staff. Workers will follow all workplace safety procedures, including the proper handling of cleaning materials, paints, chemicals, tools, and equipment, and will use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Workers will assist with basic vehicle service and maintenance support functions such as tire rotations, oil changes, parts handling, vehicle movement within the facility, and general shop support activities as directed. Workers may assist with basic inspection support activities and reporting of visible conditions to supervisory staff, but do not perform independent diagnostics, certified trade inspections, structural repairs, electrical diagnostics, engine diagnostics, welding, paint mixing, color matching, or licensed trade activities. All duties are performed under direct supervision of the Production Manager and licensed technicians. The position is support-based in nature and does not involve independent skilled-trade work, supervisory authority, professional judgment, or managerial responsibilities. The employer provides on-the-job training to familiarize workers with shop procedures, equipment, and U.S. safety standards. The role is temporary in nature and tied to the employer’s temporary operational business needs. The employer will provide all tools, supplies, safety equipment, and work materials necessary to perform the job, including hand tools, shop tools, cleaning equipment, safety gear, and protective equipment. Workers are not required to provide their own tools. Work is performed in an indoor automotive service and repair facility. The work environment includes exposure to shop equipment, noise, dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals. The employer provides all required personal protective equipment (PPE), and employees are required to use it in accordance with applicable safety regulations. The position requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling, repetitive movements, and performing manual labor throughout the workday. A valid driver’s license is preferred or required for vehicle movement within the facility and shop operations, if applicable. *Minimum Requirements: Education: No formal education or degree required. Experience: Prior experience in an automotive or mechanical work environment is preferred but not required. Training: On-the-job training is provided by the employer to familiarize workers with shop procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
