Abbey's Cleaning Services, LLC seeks twenty-five (25) temporary full-time Seasonal Plant Cleaners to perform sanitation and cleaning services in seafood and oyster processing facilities located in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, from October 1, 2026, through June 1, 2027. Employees will work forty (40) hours per week on a rotating schedule. No overtime is anticipated. Employees will be paid weekly. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Plant Cleaners are responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting seafood and oyster processing facilities throughout the oyster season to maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Duties include washing and spraying walls, ceilings, floors, drains, shucking tables, conveyors, scales, workstations, processing lines, holding stations, three-compartment wash sinks, and other food-contact surfaces. Workers will clean and sanitize oyster processing equipment and systems before, during, and after production shifts using pressure sprayers, hoses, industrial cleaning equipment, non-toxic cleaning and sanitizing agents, industrial mops, floor squeegees, brushes, and other cleaning tools. Workers will remove oyster residue, mud, shells, liquids, grease, debris, and waste materials from floors, walls, ceilings, equipment, coolers, refrigerated trucks, storage areas, and processing rooms to maintain sanitary working conditions. Workers will clean and disinfect empty coolers, refrigerated trucks, processing areas, loading areas, storage rooms, employee work areas, holding stations, and work surfaces before and after each production shift. Workers will safely handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with employer safety procedures and follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements. Workers must wear employer-provided personal protective equipment, including waterproof boots, gloves, protective clothing, face protection, and other required safety equipment. Workers may rotate among assigned cleaning duties based upon operational needs. Work is performed indoors in cold, wet, humid seafood processing environments. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, repetitive cleaning motions, pushing, pulling, and lifting and carrying up to fifty (50) pounds throughout the workday. The employer will provide all cleaning products, sanitizing agents, supplies, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment, and materials necessary to perform the job duties at no cost to the workers. The employer will provide daily transportation at no cost to workers from the central dispatch location at 4889 West Main Street, Houma, Louisiana 70360, or from employer-provided housing located at 202 North Main Project Road, Schriever, Louisiana 70395, to the worksite and return transportation to the central dispatch location or employer-provided housing at the end of each workday. Public transportation is available to the central dispatch location. The anticipated employment period will last more than one hundred twenty (120) days. The employer guarantees to offer employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths (3/4) of the workdays in each twelve (12) week period of the total employment period, as required by applicable H-2B regulations. H-2B workers will be reimbursed during the first workweek for all visa processing fees, border crossing fees, and other government-mandated expenses, excluding passport fees. Transportation and daily subsistence from the place from which the worker comes to work for the employer will be provided or reimbursed in accordance with applicable H-2B regulations.
