Harvest oysters from designated beds. Attach apparatus and devices to cables, booms, and hoists. Load and unload equipment and supplies. Attach nets and lines, haul in, sort, clean, and cull oysters. Return undersized or illegal oysters to the bay. Transplant oysters, shells, and rocks as directed. Place PVC pipe and oyster markers. Load and unload oyster sacks from vessel to dock, cooler, or freight trucks. Assist with securing and removing vessel docking lines. Wash down deck, equipment, cooler, and cabin areas used during harvesting operations. Perform basic, incidental, non‑mechanical upkeep such as rinsing gear, removing debris, and keeping work areas clean to maintain safe harvesting conditions. Comply with all U.S. Coast Guard safety procedures and Louisiana Parks and Wildlife regulations. Any vessel or equipment upkeep is strictly limited to basic cleaning and safety‑related tasks that are incidental to oyster harvesting and do not involve mechanical repair or skilled maintenance. Such tasks represent no more than 2% of the duration of the season if ever needed. Wage: Basic wage rate is $24.39/hr. An overtime premium at the rate of $36.59/hr., will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a work week. The employer may offer raises/bonuses to temporary employees hired under this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and job tenure. Wages will be calculated based on a single workweek. Employees will be paid bi-weekly. Schedule: Shifts may vary, but an average scheduled workday can be from 7AM to 3PM, Mon-Fri. May be required to work extended hours and weekends as needed. The expected work schedule is approximately 35 hours per week. The employer may offer more hours than specified, depending on company needs, and other conditions. Employer will provide daily transportation to and from work site/docks to multiple locations in public and private waters off the Coast of Louisiana.
