***2nd RFI response*** Assembling Carnival Rides, Food Concessions Stands, Game Stands. Mobile amusement equipment is designed to assembled and disassembled with manual labor and simple tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, rubber mallets, a variety of wrenches and ratchets. The equipment has built-in hydraulics to raise and lower awnings, arms & platforms. Additional equipment is not required. Operation is opening the entry gate, instructing patrons on safety procedures, ensuring that their safety harnesses are in place, pushing the button to start the timed ride, and then ensuring that the patrons exit the ride prior to the next group enters. Food Concessions involve taking customer order, taking customer payment, preparing the food items as detailed earlier, providing the customer with the payment. Game Concessions involve explaining the games rules to the patron, taking the payment, providing change, and starting the game. Cleaning Rides, Booths, Facilities or Grounds. Sweep, hose down, wash, pick up trash. Perform Minor Repairs. Replace defective or worn parts such as light bulbs, switches, belts, hoses & belts. Workers may use the following tools, equipment, and materials while performing assigned duties: Wrenches, Socket and ratchet sets, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, measuring tape, adjustable wrenches. They will use ladders, vacuums and cleaning equipment and supplies, such as sponges, rags and soap. ***1st RFI response*** Specific information about type of foods prepared, tasks involved, equipment and tools used. No food items are prepared from scratch. Fountain Drinks: At the start of the shift, worker would open bags of ice (typically 10 to 20 pounds, ice cubed) into both the reservoir on the top of the dispenser and into the ice bin. When an order comes in, the worker would prepare the proper size, flavor drink and place a plastic lid on the cup. Worker would place the drink into the serving area so that another worker, with direct contact with the patron, is able to provide the drink(s) to the patron, along with the balance of the order. Sausage, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers. All the meats come prepackaged. Any vegetables/toppings that are grilled with the items are prepackaged (cleaned and cut into bite size pieces). The meat items as well as the vegetable items would be placed on the flat grill, using tongs to place them onto the grill and a turner spatula to move them around the grill. Olive oil would be poured onto the grill. Part of the grill would be at full heat to grill the meat items, part would be kept at medium heat to grill the vegetables, and parts of the grill would be kept at low temperature to hold the meats and vegetables until they are placed into serving trays. When a client orders these items a different worker would use tongs or gloved hands to pick up proper bread item (roll or bun), meat item (burger or sausage) and toppings and place on the serving plate. ***Original*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival, assembling, disassembling & operating equipment (amusement rides, game and/or food concessions) May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; direct patrons to rides, seats or attractions; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; provide assistance to patrons entering or exiting amusement rides; clean rides, booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks, such as oiling parts; fasten safety devices for patrons, or provide them with directions for fastening devices; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers.
