Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for directing daily operations of the Main Dining Room and all other food service areas. This includes developing standard operating policies and procedures for all outlets and holding employees accountable to regularly achieve these standards, assisting in hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating dining room staff, conducting daily pre-meal meetings communicating specific information to the staff, ensuring proper set-up, breakdown of each meal period, maintaining all equipment in good condition, maintaining regular contact with members and help to ensure maximum member satisfaction with regular interaction including answering questions, seeking feedback, solving problems, overseeing services and cleanliness, and showing the Club facilities to visitors. Will also be responsible for assisting with preparing and monitoring the budget; directing corrective action procedures as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained and monitor internal cost control procedures, researching new food and beverage products and developing an analysis of their costs/benefits, coordinating and working with all departments on food and beverage programming and coordinating food and beverage communications with the Catering & Social Events or Banquet Manager, overseeing some special events in conjunction with Catering & Social Events, Banquet Manager or Director to ensure all planned activities meet and exceed member/guest expectations. Will also be responsible for participating in ongoing facility inspections throughout all dining rooms and service areas to ensure that cleanliness, safety, and other expected standards are consistently attained, reviewing all accidents and ensure appropriate documentation is completed and distributed accordingly, counseling and coaching staff about performance issues and complaints and resolving issues using documented progressive discipline, attending weekly food and beverage department meetings, Banquet Event Order (BEO), and Manager’s Meetings and assisting in overseeing JONAS point-of-sale (POS) system, which includes helping with adding buttons and ensuring system continuity for service. May supervise up to twenty (20) Servers, Server Assistants, and Food Runners. Food & Beverage Managers will need to be able to lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 9:00am to 4:00pm, 12:00pm to 7:00pm, or 3:00pm to 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary. See attached job description for additional information.
