Dining Room Captains will be responsible for greeting customers, setting up the dining areas, inspecting and maintaining linens and service ware items, inspecting dining room, managing the guest reservation system and waitlist if applicable, addressing service requests or issues, taking and placing guest orders, serving food and beverages, and cleaning and clearing tables as needed. Dining Room Captains will also be responsible for directing service staff by assigning staff duties, overseeing execution of daily tasks, and leading team meetings, monitoring service quality and providing directions as needed, ensuring employee adherence to service and safety standards, assisting with training and supporting staff development, and handling shift-level communication and administrative responsibilities related to staff supervision and daily dining operations, including preparing necessary operational documents and completing end-of-shift reporting. May supervise up to thirty-five (35) employees including Servers, Bussers, and Food Runners. Dining Room Captains may need to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am – 4:00pm, 10:00am – 6:00pm, or 2:00pm – 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary. Please see job description for additional information.
