Food Runner/Expos will be responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables, communicating food orders to chefs, paying close attention to priorities and special requests, including food allergies. Food Runners/Expos will assist service staff with table setup by placing appropriate tableware, utensils, and napkins, and serve welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres upon guest arrival, when applicable. They will be responsible for ensuring all food is served according to safety and quality standards, including proper temperature, checking in with guests and assist with additional requests, such as refilling water or relaying needs to service staff. Food Runners/Expos will also clear dirty dishes, glasses, and utensils from tables in a timely manner, answer guest questions regarding menu items and ingredients, and help create a welcoming dining experience for all guests, including families with children. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, able to multitask in a high-volume setting, and willing to assist with rearranging furniture and assist with decorations for events, banquets, and private functions. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday.
