Busser/Food Runners will be responsible for preparing dining room tables and buffets for regular service, meetings, and events by setting up buffet warmers by setting out food prepared by the kitchen; turning on soup kettles; turning on plate warmers; setting up coffee machines; arranging tables and chairs; and setting out butter, dishware, replacement linens, and napkins. Set-up tasks will take place in an on-site restaurant, banquet rooms, event areas at members’ homes, and an outdoor dining area by the food truck. Busser/Food Runners will also prepare food service stations and bar areas with ice and glassware, greet all dining guests to replenish bread and water to all occupied tables, and assist Servers by clearing plates after each course and serving the next course. Busser/Food Runners will assist the Executive Chef/Sous Chef with the expo line by stocking hot and cold plates as well as laying out utensils and tools, replenishing expo line food items, and ensuring garnishments and condiments. Busser/Food Runners must pay close attention to detail of all plates being served, proper temperature, and garnishes for all meals. Bussers/Food Runners will perform various cleaning duties including carrying soiled dishes from dining room to the kitchen’s dishwashing station, cleaning and breaking down food serving trays, placing glassware in the dishwasher station, cleaning and disinfecting dining tables and chairs between each guest service, removing all garbage from Server stations, cleaning and relining all trash and recycling containers, and removing all dirty linens to bring to the designated area. Bussers/Food Runners will perform other cleaning duties such as light sweeping and mopping of Server station areas, carpets, and floors throughout dinner service. Must have the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday.
