General duties: The Nanny is to provide responsible care for two children. Childcare & Development Daily Routines & Education: The Nanny will be responsible for managing the children's daily morning and bedtime routines, which includes preparing them for the day and walking them to the school bus. Additionally, the Nanny will actively supervise and assist the children with their daily homework assignments. Gentle Guidance: The Nanny must provide gentle guidance and supervision at all times. In no event will the children be allowed to engage in any activity deemed dangerous. The children are never to be spanked, hit, or subjected to any form of physical discipline for transgressions. Meals & Snacks: The Nanny will be responsible for arranging, preparing, and serving healthy meals and snacks for the children throughout the day. Time Outside: The Nanny will ensure the children spend at least 90 minutes each day engaging in outdoor activities, weather permitting, while ensuring they have adequate sun, rain, or snow protection. Regular Updates: The Nanny will maintain open communication with the parents by providing daily updates on the children's activities and well-being via text message, photo, or video. Domestic Duties Dishes & Bottles: The Nanny is responsible for the daily cleaning of all bottles, cups, dishes, and utensils used by the children. This includes loading dirty items into the dishwasher and running the appropriate cycles. Eating Area Maintenance: After meals and snacks, the Nanny will sweep and/or vacuum under the kitchen tables and wipe down all tables and countertops as needed to maintain a sanitary environment. Play Areas: The Nanny will ensure that the children’s play areas (including bedrooms, playrooms, living rooms, and outdoor spaces) remain tidy by picking up toys and clothes daily and rotating toys periodically. Child-Related Housekeeping: The Nanny will perform other child-related domestic duties as reasonably requested by the parents. This includes laundering and folding the children's clothes, organizing the children’s bedrooms, and packing the children's belongings in preparation for trips. Other Responsibilities Family Travel: As reasonably requested, the Nanny will travel with the family on vacations and provide dedicated childcare services during those trips. Guidelines for Releasing Children: The Nanny must strictly adhere to the parents' safety guidelines and will never release the children to any relative, neighbor, family friend, or friend’s parent without the parents’ direct, prior authorization. No Guests Without Consent: The Nanny is strictly prohibited from having personal guests over to the family's home without the prior explicit consent of the parents. Emergency Protocol: In the event of any medical or safety emergency, the Nanny’s immediate protocol is to call 911, secure the children, and then immediately notify the parents. Supplies & Equipment: The parents will be responsible for providing all necessary childcare supplies and equipment (such as proper car seats, strollers, and weather-appropriate gear) required for the Nanny to perform these duties.
