***RFI response*** The Nanny does not cook the three daily meals. The meals are prepared in advance by a cook, by the Parents, or otherwise by a third party. The Nanny arranges for the pre-prepared meals to be served to the child in her care: she places the food in front of the child and warms it as needed using the microwave available in the home. The food is eaten by the one child for whom the Nanny provides care. No special tools are required. ***Original*** I. Childcare & Developmental Support The Nanny is expected to provide a nurturing and structured environment that prioritizes the child’s emotional and physical milestones. Behavioral Philosophy: The Nanny shall utilize gentle guidance and positive reinforcement to manage behavior. Under no circumstances is physical discipline or corporal punishment permitted. Schedule Adherence: The Nanny is responsible for following the established nap and rest schedule to ensure the child remains well-rested and on a consistent routine. Nutritional Care: The Nanny will plan, prepare, and arrange healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks throughout the day, ensuring all dietary needs are met. Physical Activity: Weather permitting, the Nanny shall facilitate at least 90 minutes of daily outdoor time. This includes supervised play in the yard, walks, or visits to local parks to encourage physical health. Parental Communication: The Nanny will provide consistent daily updates to the parents via text, photos, or video, detailing the child’s activities, mood, and any notable developments. Specialized Educational Engagement: Utilizing a background or specialized education in Early Childhood Development, the Nanny will implement age-appropriate activities designed to stimulate cognitive, social, and emotional growth. II. Transportation & Safety Consent Protocol: Any and all transportation of the child (whether walking or via vehicle) requires prior parental consent. Safety Compliance: When transportation is authorized, the Nanny must ensure the child is properly secured in age-appropriate safety restraints at all times. III. Domestic & Household Maintenance To maintain a hygienic and organized environment specifically for the child, the Nanny will perform the following domestic tasks: Sanitization: Cleaning and washing all bottles, dishes, and utensils utilized by the child throughout the shift. Organization of Play Areas: Regularly picking up and organizing toys, books, and clothing in the designated play areas and the child’s bedroom. Ancillary Domestic Support: Assisting with child-related household management, including organizing the child’s bedroom/closet and assisting with packing for family trips or outings. IV. Safety, Security & Professional Conduct The safety of the child and the security of the home remain the highest priority. Authorized Release of Care: The child shall only be released to the parents or individuals specifically authorized by the parents in writing. No exceptions will be made. Home Security: To maintain privacy and security, the Nanny is prohibited from having personal guests on the premises without express prior consent from the parents. Emergency Protocols: In the event of an emergency, the Nanny must immediately follow the established safety protocol: contacting 911 for immediate medical or safety threats, followed by an immediate notification to the parents. Professional Boundaries: The Nanny is expected to maintain a professional demeanor and uphold the household’s privacy and confidentiality standards at all times.
