***RFI response*** “Run household errands”: refers to any errands related to items needed for the child. This includes going out to the store to buy diapers or baby wipes. A car will be used. A carseat must be used for the child. “Help pack and travel with the family when they request it”: The nanny will help pack the child’s suitcases if the family is traveling for a brief trip or vacation. The nanny would accompany the family on brief trips, at the family’s expense, where they would also care for the child. These brief trips are not guaranteed to happen, but the need for them may arise in the regular course of the family’s lives. ***Original*** I. Childcare & Development You are responsible for providing a safe, nurturing environment that follows the Fish/Lane Family’s parenting values. Discipline: Use gentle, positive guidance. Physical punishment is never allowed. Routine & Meals: Keep strict nap schedules, prepare healthy meals, and help shop or cook for the child when asked. Sick Care: Care for the child when they are sick, which may include giving medicine or going to the doctor with the parents' permission. Activities: Ensure the child gets at least 90 minutes of outdoor play daily. Updates: Give the parents daily updates on the child. Photos and videos can only be shared directly with the parents. II. Driving & Safety You must be physically able to do the job safely (lifting, bending, using stairs). Transportation: Drive the child to approved activities in the family's car. Always use the car seat. Costs & Requirements: The family pays for the car's gas, insurance, and maintenance. You must keep a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and up-to-date CPR training. Driving Rules: Obey all traffic laws and never use your phone while driving. You are responsible for paying any of your own parking or traffic tickets. III. Housekeeping & Errands Keep the child's spaces clean and organized. Cleaning: Wash and sanitize the child's bottles, dishes, and care equipment. Tidy up the nursery, playroom, and dining areas. Laundry: Wash, mend, and organize the child's clothes and toys. Errands: Run household errands, carefully manage the "nanny purse," and provide receipts for all expenses. Travel & Living: Clean your provided living space. Help pack and travel with the family when they request it. IV. Security, Privacy & Emergencies Protecting the family's safety and privacy is required. Safety: Only release the child to authorized individuals. Do not have personal guests over during work hours without permission. In an emergency, call 911 first, then the parents. Privacy: Keep all details about the family's life, finances, and home completely confidential. Social Media: Never post photos, videos, or any information about the child or the family on social media. Supplies: The family will provide and pay for all necessary safety and childcare supplies.
