- Offer description:
Production Worker Helpers will assist in the construction, repair, and refurbishment of wooden pallets used for the storage and transportation of materials. Workers will perform manual labor tasks in a production yard or facility, including measuring, positioning, and securing lumber components using basic hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic fastening equipment. Duties include assembling new pallets by aligning boards and fastening components to meet standard size and quality requirements, as well as repairing and refurbishing used pallets by removing damaged boards, replacing defective materials, and reinforcing structural integrity. Workers will inspect pallets for visible defects, ensure proper alignment and stability, and prepare finished pallets for storage or shipment. Workers will utilize basic tools and equipment, including hammers, pry bars, nail pullers, tape measures, hand saws, power drills, and pneumatic nail guns. Workers may also use standard material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, to move materials and finished products within the worksite. Additional duties include handling raw materials, loading and unloading lumber and pallets, stacking and organizing materials, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and performing general production and labor tasks as assigned. The work is performed in a warehouse, shop, or outdoor yard environment and involves prolonged standing, repetitive motions, bending, and lifting. Workers must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying environmental conditions.
