Childcare & Development Gentle Guidance: In no event will the child be allowed to engage in any activity that is deemed dangerous by the parents or the nanny. The children are not to be spanked, hit, or touched with force for transgressions. Follow Nap Schedule: The nanny will ensure that children follow the nap schedule and routine provided by the parents. Arrange Healthy Meals/Snacks: The nanny will arrange for full meals three times per day, healthy snacks twice per day, and prepare bottles as needed. Daily Outdoor Time: The nanny will spend at least 90 minutes each day outside with the child, weather permitting, in the backyard of the parents' home or parent-approved parks. Daily Updates to Parents: The nanny will provide the parents with a daily update via text, photo, or video. Transportation Prior Parental Consent: The children will not be transported without the parents’ prior consent and instruction, and no person has permission to transport the children without this consent. The children will not be transported to someone else’s home without the prior consent of the parents. Family Vehicle & Car Seat: All transportation will take place in the parents' vehicle and with a proper car seat provided and approved by the parents. Insurance Costs: The parents will cover associated insurance costs. Domestic Duties Clean Bottles/Dishes Used by Child: The nanny is responsible for the daily cleaning of all bottles, cups, dishes, etc., that are used by the child and the nanny, including putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher and running the appropriate cycle. Sweep/Vacuum and Wipe Counters: The nanny will vacuum and/or sweep under the kitchen tables and wipe down tables and countertops after eating, as needed. Pick Up Toys/Clothes in Play Areas: The nanny will pick up toys and clothes daily in the child’s play areas (including the child’s rooms, playroom, living room, and outside) and rotate toys periodically. Other Domestic Duties: The nanny will be responsible for certain other domestic duties as reasonably requested by the parents, including packing the child for trips and organizing the child’s bedroom. Other Responsibilities Follow Rules for Releasing Child: The nanny will not release children to any relative, neighbor, family friend, or friend’s parent without the parents’ direct authorization to do so. No Guests Without Consent: The nanny will not allow or host any guests at the residence without the prior consent of the parents. Emergency Protocol: In the event of an emergency, the nanny must immediately call 911 and then notify the parents. Provide Supplies & Equipment: The parents will provide adequate supplies and equipment for the child (e.g., sun or rain/snow protection such as sunscreen and jackets), which are covered by the parents. Additional Duties and Skills Out-of-Home Classes and Activities: The nanny will transport and accompany the youngest child (who is not yet in school) to frequent classes and developmental activities outside of the home, ensuring the child's safety, participation, and engagement. Household Calendar Management: The nanny will assist with managing the household calendar, coordinating daily schedules, and ensuring that all children are transported on time to school, playdates, and various extracurricular activities. Household Organizational Projects: The nanny will assist with maintaining order within the home and taking on specific household organizational projects as reasonably requested by the parents. Travel Planning & Logistics: The nanny will assist the parents with coordinating and planning travel arrangements, including packing, organizing itineraries, and managing travel logistics for the children.
