PERFORM A VARIETY OF ATTENDING DUTIES AT AMUSEMENT FACILITY (TRAVELING CARNIVAL CONCESSIONS), SERVE CUSTOMERS IN EATING PLACES THAT SPECIALIZE IN FAST SERVICE AND INEXPENSIVE CARRY-OUT FOOD CARNIVAL SETTINGS FOOD STAND, ON-SITE CLEAN AND ORGANIZE, PREPARE SIMPLE DAILY FOOD ITEMS AND BEVERAGES-TYPICAL CARNIVAL FOODS SUCH AS SANDWICHES, SALADS, SOUPS, CORN-DOGS, PIZZA, USING PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND SANITARY MEASURES. SET-UP STOCK/CLEAN AND READY FOR SERVICE, TEAR-DOWN PACK UP STOCK AND CLOSE DOWN BOOTH, HEAVY LIFTING & PHYSICALLY MOBILE, OPERATE FOOD CONCESSIONS AND OR GAMES AND AMUSEMENT RIDES. ***RFI - For Clarification: 1. The specific tasks, types of preparation and cooking techniques and preparation equipment: prepare simple carnival type food that requires little preparation. Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking using knives, slicers, and hand-held vegetable cutters. Cooking equipment are deep-fat fryers, ovens and grills. 2. Food preparation and any cooking tasks: Sandwiches are made with sliced cold cuts, lettuce, and tomato, prepackaged fries, prepackaged hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, funnel cakes are made with pre-made batter, tacos are prepared meats and vegetables, corn is fresh corn on the cobb, lemonade is a pre-mix. 3. The specific tasks for set up – stock/clean: Food stands are set up using hand tools for the putting up the vinyl booth walls. A screwdriver is used to fasten nuts and bolts. Hammers are used to secure signage and menus. Ladders are used to put up Flags. Hand trucks are used to unload/load boxes. Unbox items and put them in appropriate storage locations within the booth for use. At the end of the event, put items in boxes and using tape dispenser, seal boxes. Take down is done in the reverse order. Using basic cleaning supplies and following proper safety precautions and sanitary measures ensure all items are cleaned and stored in a specified safe manner for transportation. 4. Operate food concessions and/or games and amusement rides is to prepare the food, sell and serve food/refreshments. Hours, schedule and days vary - sample shift time: 10am-7pm, 1-hour unpaid break; 40hrs./wk. extra hours may be required or available, may include weekends and holidays. Work needs (i.e., hours, days, schedule, location, and work positions) vary. Work needs subject to industry practice and are not guaranteed per day, per week, per schedule, per location, or per worker, e.g., rainouts, brief periods without scheduled events, event dates and hours set by agreement with sponsor and subject to change (based upon adverse weather, hours of operation, day of the week, attendance, size of the event, school schedules, amount of equipment in operation, staffing, etc.), and unforeseen cancellations. In the event of approved, overlapping events, work needs may cause workers to be adjusted. Work is performed outside in all weather. Pay varies based on location of each worksite, $17.80 to $26.50 per hour. No overtime is expected, but if work necessitating OT occurs, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable federal, state and local laws. Employer reserves the option to provide additional compensation for performance/tenure or may increase wages based on changes in market conditions. Employer is an outdoor traveling concessions provider with travel required from event location to event location and provided to work in Maricopa, Pinal and Pima counties in AZ; Alameda, Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, San Mateo, and Solano counties in CA; Deschutes county in OR; King and Pierce counties in WA. Travel provided to all events as per itinerary. Housing and transportation to/from each event location offered to all employees under this job order. Employer makes available transportation from venue to venue. The employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job.
