Waiters/Waitresses will greet members and guests, present menus, answer questions about menu items, make recommendations upon request, take food and beverage orders, record orders for transmittal to kitchen staff, prepare checks that itemize meal costs and sales taxes, collect payments, check patrons' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for the consumption of alcoholic beverages, serve food and beverages to patrons, prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required, prepare hot, cold, and mixed drinks, chill bottles of wine, refill beverages, check with members and guests to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct problems if needed, clear and wipe down tables and counters after patrons have finished dining, and perform other related duties. Waiters/Waitresses support all dining outlets, banquets, golf events, member functions, outdoor events, halfway house operations, golf course support, and special seasonal events as assigned. Duties include delivering food accurately and promptly using seat numbers and table position standards; clearing plates, glassware, and service items using proper service etiquette; resetting and preparing tables to club standards; assisting servers and bartenders with water, coffee, bread, and beverage service; preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages; assisting with beverage inventory management; maintaining service stations with proper stock levels throughout the shift; stocking and replenishing supplies; transporting food and beverage items to designated service locations; communicating with the kitchen and service team regarding ticket timing and guest needs; following side work and opening and closing checklists; following all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, safety, and code of conduct policies; supporting teammates beyond assigned stations when business demands require; and upholding club appearance standards, including uniform, grooming, professionalism, and treating members, guests, and teammates with warmth and respect at all times. Waiters/Waitresses also assist with banquet room setup and breakdown by arranging and resetting banquet and event spaces, including placing tables, chairs, linens, silverware, glassware, centerpieces, and décor, restoring event spaces following completion of food service, turning over rooms between events, folding napkins, bundling silverware, and setting tables. Workers utilize standard food service tools, equipment, and materials, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, trays, order pads, banquet tables, chairs, linens, serving stations, service carts, portable serving stations, beverage dispensers, coolers, glassware, silverware, china, serving utensils, centerpieces, and cleaning supplies. Must be able to read and write in English.
