***2nd RFI response*** Assembling Carnival Rides, Food Concessions Stands, Game Stands. Mobile amusement equipment is designed to assembled and disassembled with manual labor and simple tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, rubber mallets, a variety of wrenches and ratchets. The equipment has built-in hydraulics to raise and lower awnings, arms & platforms. Additional equipment is not required. Operation is opening the entry gate, instructing patrons on safety procedures, ensuring that their safety harnesses are in place, pushing the button to start the timed ride, and then ensuring that the patrons exit the ride prior to the next group enters. Food Concessions involve taking customer order, taking customer payment, preparing the food items as detailed earlier, providing the customer with the payment. Game Concessions involve explaining the games rules to the patron, taking the payment, providing change, and starting the game. Cleaning Rides, Booths, Facilities or Grounds. Sweep, hose down, wash, pick up trash. Perform Minor Repairs. Replace defective or worn parts such as light bulbs, switches, belts, hoses & belts. Workers may use the following tools, equipment, and materials while performing assigned duties: Wrenches, Socket and ratchet sets, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, measuring tape, adjustable wrenches. They will use ladders, vacuums and cleaning equipment and supplies, such as sponges, rags and soap. ***1st RFI response*** To clean booths, facilities or grounds the workers would use garden hoses to wash them down, sponges, rags, dishwashing detergents. Broom, dustpans, trash grabbers and trash cans would be utilized. To perform minor repairs, adjustments or maintenance tasks, tools that may be used would be screwdriver, pliers, hammer, sand paper, glue, lubricant such as WD-40. Workers might wear gloves. ***Original*** Perform a variety of duties at traveling carnival, assembling, disassembling & operating equipment (game and/or food concessions) May sell tickets & collect fees from customers; provide information about the facilities, rules and regulations; monitor activities to ensure adherence to rules and safety procedures; clean booths, facilities or grounds; inspect equipment to detect wear and damage and perform minor repairs, adjustments, or maintenance tasks; announce or describe amusement attractions to patrons to entice customers to games and/or other entertainment; and sell and serve refreshments to customers. The employer will be providing Fountain, bottle drinks. Fountain and bottled drinks. These workers would NOT be serving any alcoholic beverages. For a fountain drink, the worker would take the proper size cup in their hand, use and ice scoop to scoop ice into the cup (unless the patron ordered no ice), place the cup under the nozzle, press the cup against the lever and fill the cup. Take a lid from the lid supply and secure this on the top of the cup. From time to time, the worker would need to restock the cups, lids and ice from the appropriate storage area. If the machine runs out of syrup, the worker would need to locate in the storage area the proper flavor of prepackaged syrup, disconnect the empty syrup container, connect the full syrup container, and then discard the empty container. If there was an issue with the operation of the machine or the gas, notify a supervisor to have this taken care of. At the end or the day, carefully clean the fountain machine. Bottled drinks, the worker would simply pull a bottle of the requested flavor/brand of bottled drink from the cooler. Provide the bottle with or without a cup/ice/lid as per the customers request to the server or directly to the customer, depending upon what position (front counter taking orders, etc., or back of the house preparing the orders) is filling that shift.
