6 Temporary full time Short Order Cooks. Duties: prepare and cook breakfast items, sandwiches, and light café fare to order in a seasonal café where most orders are take-out. Duties include cooking eggs; preparing breakfast sandwiches; grilling meats; toasting breads and bagels; preparing hot and cold sandwiches; heating soups; and assembling and packaging menu items according to established recipes and portion standards. The worker operates standard commercial kitchen equipment including flat-top grills, griddles, stovetops, ovens, panini presses, toasters, microwaves, knives, food slicers, cutting boards, refrigeration units, and portion scales. The worker monitors cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality and safety. Additional duties include slicing meats and vegetables for service, restocking cooking stations, labeling and storing food items, and cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment, and utensils. No experience required. Pay shall be within range of $19.90 - $22.00. No Overtime. Work shifts are: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Employees must commit to entire period of need. Possible bonuses at the discretion of employer based upon performance. Housing available at $250.00/week (to be paid directly - not deducted from payroll) Employer will make all deductions from paycheck as required by law. A standard work week will be used to compute wages. Employer will provide employee(s), without charge or deposit charge any tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.20(k). Employee will be reimbursed for initial inbound subsistence and transportation after 50% of employment period is completed. Upon completion of the period of need, or if employee is dismissed early, employer will pay for workers reasonable costs and subsistence of outbound, return, transportation back to where employee came from, unless the employee does not return. The amount of transportation reimbursed will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence for travel will be provided at a rate of $16.28/day up to a max of $68.00/day with proof by receipts. Employees will be reimbursed in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period to the total employment period.
