***RFI Response*** The duty “capture photos or videos when applicable” refers to the use of handheld or mounted cameras (e.g., action cameras) to record participants during lessons, when appropriate and with participant consent. These recordings are used to provide visual feedback to improve participant performance and enhance the instructional experience, and may also be used on a limited basis for business promotional purposes. This function is incidental to the primary recreational instruction duties and does not constitute a separate occupation. ***Original F.a.2*** eFoil Instructor – Description of Services The eFoil Instructor is responsible for providing professional instruction, supervision, and safety guidance to clients participating in electric hydrofoil (efoil) lessons and experiences. Services include: - Instruction & Coaching - Deliver structured beginner to advanced eFoil lessons tailored to individual skill levels. - Provide clear instruction on board operation, throttle control, balance techniques, and safe riding practices. - Demonstrate proper riding form and water safety procedures. - Offer real-time feedback and skill progression coaching. - Safety & Risk Management - Conduct safety briefings prior to each session, including equipment operation, emergency procedures, and local waterway rules. - Assess weather, water, and environmental conditions to ensure safe operating parameters. - Monitor participants continuously during sessions to ensure safe practices. - Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide basic first aid if necessary. - Ensure all participants wear required safety equipment (life jackets, helmets). Equipment Preparation & Maintenance - Inspect eFoils, batteries, controllers, and safety gear before and after each lesson. - Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and battery charging. - Report mechanical issues or needed repairs. Client Experience - Assist clients with equipment fitting and setup. - Provide courteous, professional customer service. - Capture photos or videos when applicable. - Educate clients about environmental stewardship and responsible water use. - Teach in Spanish. Operational Support - Maintain lesson schedules and waiver documentation. - Ensure compliance with local boating laws and company policies. - Assist with loading/unloading and transporting equipment when necessary.
