Install mulch using blower equipment by directing mulch through hoses into landscape beds, ensuring even coverage and proper depth while avoiding damage to plants, structures, and walkways. Assist with blow-in mulch installation by handling hoses, guiding mulch placement, spreading and leveling material by hand, and cleaning excess mulch from walkways, driveways, and work areas using hand tools. Workers perform tasks related to ground covering and site preparation, which may include spreading bulk or bagged mulch, loading and unloading mulch materials, and raking or leveling surfaces. Duties may also include blowing and clearing walkways and driveways and general cleanup of job sites. Work is performed using hand tools such as rakes, shovels, pitchforks, and wheelbarrows. Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and involves frequent bending, lifting, carrying, and walking on uneven terrain. May ride in or drive a crew vehicle to job sites. No driver’s license is required as a condition of employment; however, workers who possess a valid, noncommercial driver’s license may be asked to drive as needed.
