  Maintain and repair existing trails by trimming and cutting tree branches, clearing brush, trimming shrubs, removing/relocating rocks, and shoveling out footpaths. Keep hiking trails clear by removing litter and debris and pruning back trees and shrubs. Cut new trails according to project plans as directed by supervisors and in compliance with U.S. Forest Service's Trail Building and Maintenance Guide. Cut and maintain trails using various equipment such chainsaws, weedeaters, handsaws, hatchets, shovels, and other similar tools. Mark tread lines and cut back slopes to improve trail safety. Perform other related tasks as necessary.
