- Maintain gardens and lawns, including mowing grass with push or riding mowers, edging with string trimmers, pruning shrubs and small trees using hand shears or electric trimmers, raking leaves, and weeding landscaped areas. - Water plants and lawns using hoses, sprinklers, or irrigation systems, and apply granular or liquid fertilizers according to seasonal needs. - Prepare gardens for winter by applying fall fertilizers, covering plant beds with mulch, removing leaves and debris, and protecting sensitive plants. - Remove snow, ice, and leaves as needed. Tools, Equipment, and/or Vehicles Used: - Lawn mowers (push mowers or riding mowers). - String trimmers. - Leaf blowers. - Hand pruning shears and electric trimmers. - Rakes, shovels, hoes, and other hand tools. - Hoses, watering cans, and irrigation systems. - Wheelbarrows for transporting materials. - The worker will also operate a truck in addition to using hand tools and small equipment.
