Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and a variety of other kitchen equipment, knowing and complying with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures, stocking and maintaining sufficient levels of food products at each train kitchen to assure a smooth service period, portioning food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications, maintaining a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, panini grills, fryers, microwaves, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment, preparing items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning, and/or marinating, following proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes, handing, storing, and rotating all products properly, closing the kitchen properly and following the closing checklist for kitchen stations. Line Cooks may also assist in food prep assignments at the depot during off-peak periods as needed. Line Cooks must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 7:00AM-2:00PM, 12:00PM-7:00PM, or 2:00PM-9:00PM. Shift hours may vary. Please see Job Description for additional information.
