Duties may include: Examine raw woodstock for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards. Attach and adjust guides, stops, clamps, chucks, or feed mechanisms, using hand tools. Install, adjust, and align blades, or cutting heads using hand or power tools to prevent defects in finished products. Set up, operate, or tend saws or machines, such as cut off saws, resaws, ripsaws, planers, or wood-nailing machines. Measure and mark stock for cuts. Trim woodstock to straighten rough edges or remove defects. Select appropriately sized woodstock to assemble customer specific fruit and vegetable boxes using nail guns or other tools. Inspect and examine finished boxes for smoothness, shape, and conformity. Count, sort and stack boxes according to size and order. Clean and maintain machines and workspace to ensure safety & other related Production Workers activities as per SOC/OES 51-7042 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
