- Offer description:
***RFI Response*** • The Club’s Golf shop sells golf equipment and clothing to club members. The shop also is one of the main contact points for Club members interfacing with the Club’s golf professional staff; seeking advice and scheduling golf rounds and lessons. Work in the golf shop consists of greeting members and answering their questions about golf at the Club and golf related activities such as tournaments and lessons as well as answering questions about merchandise in the shop, either in person or on the phone. Opening and closing the shop consists of open the point of sale computer in the morning and register all sales in the computer during the day. At the end of the day close out the point of sale computer. Opening and closing the point of sale computer are simple tasks requiring no more than logging in and out of a computer. • Merchandise generally arrives at the shop by parcel post a few times a week. (The shop is not large and is not open to the public so inventory is rather small as retail shops go). Receiving product consists of opening boxes, logging receipt, and placing the item on the sales floor or in an inventory room as appropriate. The primary items sold in the shop (and received) consist of clothing; golf balls and golf clubs. No merchandise sold in the shop requires any equipment to move. ***Original F.a.2*** The Seasonal Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional in carrying out Wee Burn Country Club’s golf operations, administer club rules and policies, promote and stimulate the game of golf, providing outstanding service and assist daily with typical pro shop duties and responsibilities. Duties include: Opening and closing the golf shop and assisting members with any golf shop needs, receiving, pricing and display of merchandise, member score posting and handicap monitoring, tournament administration using Golf Genius tournament software, providing golf instruction, playing golf with members, monitoring pace of play, ensuring high level of service to members and guests.
