  • Prepare and maintain sport fishing vessel for daily operation, including rigging fishing gear, safety equipment, bait, and tackle. • Assist captain with navigation, docking, anchoring, and compliance with maritime safety protocols. • Assist with boat engine/generator maintenance. • Provide high-level customer service, including assisting clients with fishing techniques, baiting hooks, and retrieving catch, all while quickly earning the client’s trust. • Ensure vessel cleanliness and readiness before and after each trip; perform general maintenance, including cleaning, organizing, and restocking supplies. • Handle, clean, store, and process caught fish in accordance with environmental and health standards. • Maintain familiarity with state and federal maritime safety laws and fish species regulations (size and catch limits). • Monitor weather conditions and relay critical information to captain and passengers. • Participate in emergency drills and apply first aid or life-saving procedures in case of incidents
