***RFI Response*** Regarding “cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff” the Kitchen assistant will assist the cook by warming up pre-packaged potatoes, gravy mac & cheese corn and green beans using microwaves or oven. The utensils to be used are whisk, spatula and tongs. Regarding “employees must have the ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, including, but not limited to”, the Kitchen Staff will maintain a clean work area during shifts, store dishes and cookware in designated area, refill stock as needed, mop floors, take garbage to dumpster. ***Original F.a.2*** The role of the Kitchen staff includes preparing food for service, cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, following all standard procedures for recipes and presentation, and maintaining a sanitized and orderly environment; setting up and stocking the preparatory stations with all necessary supplies; restocking kitchen supplies; take and record temperature of food and food storage areas; Employees must have the ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, including, but not limited to collecting used kitchenware from all areas, storing dishes and cookware and disposing of garbage regularly. Employee must lift and move up to 50 pounds. Must report all equipment issues and/ or failure promptly; adhere to opening and closing procedures. Weekends and evening availability are required. Must have a basic understanding of the English language. The job requires continuous movement, regular bending, and lifting up to 50 pounsds.
