Workers will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Workers may operate hand and power tools of all types including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. Workers may clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up ribble, debris, and other waste materials. Workers may assist other craft workers. The employer may offer raises/bonuses to temporary employees hired under this job order, at the company's sole discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and job tenure. Wages will be calculated based on a single workweek. Employees will be paid weekly. The employer may offer more hours than specified, depending on company needs, and other conditions. The typical shift begins at 7:00AM., with employees generally working 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday and ending at 5:30PM. However, during paving weeks or when project demands require, employees may work extended hours of up to 12 hours per day and occasionally on Saturdays. Start times may vary slightly depending on weather conditions or project requirements. Holidays are paid as 8-hour workdays.
