The role of the Housekeeping Attendant is to clean and sanitize guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms and common areas. Emptying wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transporting other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweeping floors, using brooms or mop. Replenishing supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Vacuuming rugs, carpets, and dusting furniture. Sanitizing equipment and supplies. Observing necessary precautions required to protect guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Sorting, counting, and marking clean linens and store them in linen closets. Respond to guest requests for extra amenities or room service in a friendly manner. Worker will also assist in the kitchen with food prep by cutting chicken to desired sizes for cooking, unpacking frozen salmon filets for cooking, making sauces and marinades, and warming up frozen foods in microwave. Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, following sanitation policies at all times; assisting team in receiving and putting away supplies; cleaning spills or broken glassware immediately; and reporting sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party. Workers will operate the industrial dishwasher to wash dishes, cups, coffee cups, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and other items. Will wash certain items including glassware by hand, as necessary. Other duties include emptying and cleaning all trash receptacles. Certain items will need to be washed by hand. The dishes and equipment will need to then be store appropriately. Employees also be responsible for reporting any equipment issues such as technical/performance issues and removing the garbage regularly.
