The Prep Cook is responsible for setting up and stocking the preparatory stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service, cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff, keeping a sanitized and orderly environment, following all standard procedures for recipes and presentation which includes wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients; Portion and prepare meats, seafood, and poultry according to recipes and standards; Measure and mix ingredients for sauces, dressings, and marinades; Support Line cooks and Chefs by providing prepped ingredients during service; Keep prep stations, cutting boards, and utensils clean and sanitized; Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times; Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage; Maintain accurate records of temperatures and cleaning schedules as required; Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Must be able to stand for long hours at a time; Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
