Job Summary: The Universal Worker is a member of our assisted living team, responsible for providing personalized support and hospitality services that enhance the comfort, dignity, and independence of our Residents. This versatile role combines caregiving, housekeeping, and dining assistance within a warm, Resident-centered environment. Essential Job Functions Resident Support & Care • Assist Residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and toileting) in a respectful and supportive manner • Encourage Resident independence and engagement in community life • Observe and report any changes in residents’ health, behavior, or needs to supervisory staff promptly • Provide companionship and emotional support through positive, meaningful interactions Housekeeping & Environmental Services • Perform light housekeeping duties in Resident apartments and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, and laundry • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that promotes Resident comfort and safety • Follow all infection control and sanitation guidelines Dining & Meal Service • Assist with meal service by setting tables, delivering trays, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience • Support Residents with eating or drinking as needed while maintaining dignity and choice • Help with kitchen cleanup and dining room organization Community Engagement & Teamwork • Support Residents’ participation in activities, social events, and wellness programs • Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, dining, and housekeeping staff to provide seamless care and service • Attend required staff meetings and ongoing training to maintain quality standards and compliance • Performs additional responsibilities within the scope of their training and qualifications, as needed to support operational and business objectives
