The worker will perform general construction labor in support of water and sewer construction activities. Duties include assisting with site preparation, moving and handling materials, staging supplies, handing tools to lead workers, and maintaining clean and organized work areas. The worker will assist with handling, staging, and positioning pipe materials prior to installation by lead workers, and will perform backfilling, compacting, and basic ground support tasks as directed. Additional duties include setting up and taking down traffic control devices such as signs, barricades, and traffic cones, collecting and disposing of debris, and performing basic site cleanup. All tasks are performed under close supervision of lead workers. No supervisory duties are required. On-the-job training is provided. Qualifications and Requirements: No formal education or training is required. No prior experience is required beyond brief on-the-job safety and task orientation. The worker must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, perform physically demanding manual labor, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Tasks are performed exactly as directed by lead workers. The worker must be trustworthy and dependable.
