  Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff as orders are presented. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service: chopping vegetables, preparing meat and sauces, baking breads and any other pre-made or pre-portioned items. Clean up stations and kitchen and take care of leftover food. Stock inventory appropriately. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. Communicate what needs to be prepared/ordered/done for future shifts. Seek direction during available working hours on what tasks could be done to help the business function smoothly and safely. May also include some duties involving “directing traffic,” ensuring things are running smoothly, such as: communicating with Front-of-House Manager by giving information for the Servers and/or receiving information for the Cooks; directing servers which food to take to which table; answering questions from servers; helping to prepare food items for stations experiencing a bottleneck; reactively ensuring that other employees are not violating our standards or health code.
