Dining Captains will be responsible for supervising dining room staff by maintaining order and cleanliness and providing food and beverage service according to the Club’s service standards, coordinating food service between the kitchen and front of house, resolving and communicating guest complaints to management, assist in training new staff, performing wine service for staff (such as presenting the bottle, confirming the bottle with the member host, opening it correctly, pouring a taste for approval, and then serving the rest of the guests in a specific order), assigning and assisting in completion of opening and closing duties in front and back of house areas, ensuring server stations, bars, and appropriate kitchen areas are properly set up and stocked, preparing dining room/patio according to reservations and creating sections for each dining room server, assisting servers with clearing tables, enforcing Club rules, regulations, and policies, assist hosts as needed, assist with monthly inventories, conduct pre-shift meetings with dining room staff, inform management about purchasing needs, ensure that state and local laws and Club policies related to serving alcoholic beverages are being followed, managing guest reservation lists, and greeting members and guests. May supervise up to fifteen (15) Bartenders, Servers, and Food Runners in a shift. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 10:00am – 6:00pm, 12:00pm – 8:00pm, or 3:00pm – 11:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
