Server Captains will be responsible for greeting customers, setting up the dining areas, taking and placing guest orders, carrying trays and plates, serving food and beverages, mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cleaning and clearing tables, and stocking the bar as needed. Server Captains may supervise up to fifteen (15) entry-level Servers, performing general supervisory duties for Servers during their shifts. This involves providing guidance and training on duties, menu items, and other standards of service, assigning tasks such as cleaning duties and side work, evaluating and providing feedback on performance, skills, dress code, and other service standards, conducting pre-shift “lineup” meeting to ensure everyone is ready for service, liaising between kitchen and dining staff to coordinate timely food service to the correct tables, monitoring the dining area and service stations to ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for service, and assisting with scheduling of Server shifts to ensure the dining room is properly staffed. In addition, Server Captains will plan and assign work to entry-level Servers. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shift: 08:00am – 04:00pm, 12:00pm – 08:00pm, or 2:00pm – 10:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
