Clarification of Job Duties – Synthetic Grass Installer Employees will landscape or maintain grounds of residential and commercial properties using hand and power tools. Duties include preparing outdoor surfaces for synthetic grass installation, installing edging, and maintaining site cleanliness. Tools and Equipment Used: Workers will use shovels, rakes, brooms, wheelbarrows, hand tampers, compactors, utility knives, levels, measuring tape, and power tools such as sod cutters and plate compactors. Workers may also use hand-held blowers and basic trenching tools. Excavating Description: Excavation refers to manual digging and ground preparation up to 4 inches deep to remove existing soil, sod, or debris. Workers use shovels and hand tools to remove materials and level the base. No heavy construction equipment or grading machinery is used. Projects Include: Synthetic grass installation for lawns, pet areas, patios, and playgrounds. Projects include removing natural grass or debris, compacting the soil, applying a layer of crushed rock, leveling the surface, and laying synthetic grass. Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Working with tools and equipment. Work well with other people. Professional appearance, and detail oriented. Works with synthetic grass, landscaping, , excavating, and customer service . Understands landscaping blueprints, reviews plan with Team Leader and implements the landscape construction plan. Assists the Team Leader in interacting with clients by way of introductions at the beginning of a job, answering questions, responding to client’s requests, making reasonable changes to the plan, and providing a walk-through upon the job’s completion. Assists the team leader in planning and organizing the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available. Also ensures that jobs are completed in the most time-efficient manner. Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including worksite and equipment. Briefs Team Leader and makes recommendations on job status, personnel issues, or client concerns.
