Perform a variety of physical tasks associated with highway construction and maintenance projects. Duties include lifting and carrying heavy materials; walking and standing for extended periods; and using basic hand tools and power tools commonly utilized in guardrail, attenuator, sign, cable barrier, and fence installation and maintenance, roadway construction, and related site preparation activities such as drills, hammer drills, impacts, bandsaws, sawzalls, jack hammers/breakers, shovels, post-hole diggers, come-alongs, hammers, sledge hammers, wrenches, socket wrenches, levels, and tape measures. Workers will assist with loading and unloading materials, preparing work areas, cleaning up debris, and supporting skilled crew members as directed. Work is performed outdoors and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
