  Prepare and cook to order a variety of foods with short preparation time in a bar and grill restaurant kitchen setting. Perform food preparation tasks, such as cooking fried flounder, fried calamari and chicken tenders, sandwiches, carving meats, making black bean soup, ceasar and spinach salads, bread pudding desserts; Cooking burgers, fries, and seafood platters. Preparing appetizers and sides. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items and rotating stock. Clean food preparation equipment such as kitchen ovens, grills, and fryers, using soap, degreaser, and scrubbing pads. Clean kitchen work areas, counter and tables using surface cleaners, cleaning brushes and sanitizers.
