As a carpenter helper, the worker will help more specialized workers by performing duties requiring less skill. The Carpenter Helper's duties include using, supplying, holding materials or tools, and cleaning the work area and equipment. Carpenter helpers will also provide assistance with drilling, cutting, or positioning timber, lumber, or other wood materials. Carpenter Helpers will move OSB plywood to an area where glue is applied to the board. Carpenter helpers will assist with glue application and insulation process by setting insulation on top of the glue and waiting for another coating of the glue to go on the insulation. Then, Carpenter Helper will set another piece of OSB plywood on top. They will then secure a cover, which creates a vacuum and applies pressure to the panel, binding it together. Workers will then assist in loading finished products, through the operation of a forklift, onto trucks for transportation.
